Sarah Perl, LCSW-R - Founder and Clinical Director at Resilient Self Therapy
Sarah Perl, LCSW-R, CDWF is a psychotherapist with a private practice in Kingston, NY as well as NYC. She sees adults in her practice, with a particular interest and gravitation towards working with issues that can arise in young adulthood such as identity exploration, life cycle transition, interpersonal development, perfectionism and substance use. Sarah offers a warm approach to her work which encompasses psychodynamic and relational influences.
Sarah is also a Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator and implements this work with clients who are particularly struggling with feelings of shame. This method is a highly experiential intervention based on the research of Brené Brown, LMSW, PhD where topics such as shame, vulnerability, courage, and worthiness are explored. Typically, Sarah facilitates about 3 cycles of her Daring Way™ group each year and has recently added weekend intensives for laypeople and helping professionals alike at her Hudson Valley location.
She received her BA from SUNY Stony Brook and her MSW from New York University. Sarah continued on to obtain a post graduate certificate in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy from The Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy.
Sarah grew up in the Hudson Valley and currently resides in Upstate NY. Traveling, all things culinary, and time in nature are amongst her most cherished activities
