Biography
The roles we find ourselves playing in life can can feel stuck, and our emotions can feel difficult to manage. Through gentle exploration, applied curiosity, assigned exercises and a playful but challenging approach we can transform our responses, freeing our powers to thrive.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a quarter century of professional clinical experience and special training in psychodrama, trauma work, mindfulness, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR.)
I have a strong background in the arts as a means to self discovery, and in working with PTSD and mood disorders. I specialize in treating anxiety, flashbacks, dissociation, anger issues, and emotional flooding.
In helping clients towards greater wholeness, I work comfortably with medical model diagnoses but reach beyond them to place life problems in a context of personal and cultural experience and personal growth.
I accept Medicare, am applying to accept other insurances and work on a sliding scale. Contact me at (845) 282-5201.
