About My Practice
I have an office in New Paltz. I am a provider on different insurance panels; I also offer sliding scales. I see adults, adolescents and children. I work with couples and I am a listed provider for court-ordered clients with substance abuse challenges. I utlize different therapeutic approaches including systems considerations, cognitive behavioral therapy and Gestalt techniques. I offer relaxation methods to address stress, anxiety and trauma.
I have worked with children in different capacities for over twenty years. I have a doctorate in Counseling Psychology; I am a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) and a certified alocohol and drug abuse counselor (CASAC). I work with individuals and families surrounding substance abuse issues; I offer psychological evaluations, using objective clinical assessments, working with the court in different cases.
Therapuetically, I work on building a trusting relationship to help individuals work through difficulties in their life, overcome barriers and develop more effective strategies to live more fully. I work with individuals considering their strengths,and helping to reach therapeutic goals.
