About My Practice:
I see children, adolescents and adults in individual, couple, group or play therapy. I am a trained a client-centered, play, cognitive-behavior, and group therapist. I also completed my training as a modern psychoanalyst. I trained in so many approaches because I believe it is important to find the right modality or combination of modalities for each person, there is no such thing as one method fits all. Together, you and I, will figure out what works best for you.
I have found that group therapy provides a tremendous asset to individual therapy, thus at this point I run a variety of groups: a children's group, a preadolescent group, an adolescent group, a young adult group, adult groups, a rape/sexual abuse victim support group, parent support group, and a supervision group. I truly love my work!
I am an internationally trained psychologist, licensed in New York and Germany, a certified group therapist, a NY certified school psychologist, a NAAP certified psychoanalyst, a German board certified psychodynamic psychologist both for adults, and children and adolescents. In my 20 years of private practice in the Hudson Valley, I have treated hundreds of adults, children and adolescents and conducted innumerable psycho-educational evaluations and accompanied many parents to the various Child Study or Committee of Special Education meetings.

About My Practice:
I work with individuals, couples, marriage partners, and families experiencing emotional stress and relational conflict.
My practice is based upon a systemic and solution-oriented approach. Rather than focusing upon cause and effect, presenting problems are viewed within the context of relationships. Respectful and supportive dialogue among therapist and clients encourage untapped strengths and resources to emerge. This allows for new ways of approaching old repetitive and self-defeating patterns.

Professionally I divide my time between two places. I work in private
practice in Rosendale, NY, at the Rosendale Family Therapy Center --
located near New Paltz and Kingston. I also work
as a Senior Counselor and Eating Disorders Specialist at the
Psychological Counseling Center at SUNY New Paltz. Across these two
settings I provide both time limited and long-term psychotherapy to
individuals, couples, and groups. I also provide mental health
About My Practice: I have a general practice for a wide range of issues and a wide variety of folks. I also have a specialty in Asperger's Syndrome, High Functioning Autism, Pervasive Developmental Disorder (NOS) and Non-Verbal-Learning Disorder. I offer social skills development, socialization groups, IEP planning, teacher training, and family counseling. I have a PhD in Clinical Psychology from City University of New York. I am an active participant in the therapy process, offering direct and clear suggestions when clients might find that helpful. At the same time, I have a very calm, reassuring, and patient presence with people. In other words, if you need support, or just want to vent, I'm there for you. If you want concrete steps for moving forward with your life, I am more than happy to make recommendations. I feel truly blessed to be able to help others, no matter what challenges, neurologically or otherwise, that people face.
