Membership
Guild Membership Criteria
Membership in the Hudson Valley Guild of Mental Health Professionals shall consist of mental health practitioners, in both private practice and agencies, whose (primary) client base has a DSM-IV diagnosis.
Members will either be:
- Licensed mental health practitioners, such as psychiatrists, psychologists, certified social workers and nurses.
- Mental health practitioners who are counselors, marriage and family therapists, pastoral counselors, and others who have a Masters degree or it's equivalent in the field and are in current supervision by a licensed practitioner or equivalent, and Certified Alcohol Counselors.
- Students either part-time or full-time who are studying with the intention to become mental health practitioners.
- Emeritus members who are currently active in the field.

NOTE: All members will be full voting members.
Membership Fees
Membership fees are $75.00 for the first year, then reduced to $50 for each year thereafter.Membership fees for students and emeritus members will be $25.00. Additional monies may be raised by assessment for increased financial needs for particular events, such as legal fees.Benefits of Membership
The benefits and rewards of membership may include professional and personal networking, inclusion on the database, referrals, notification of office rentals/shares, a monthly newsletter, group health insurance, malpractice insurance and so on. These activities and others may be developed depending on membership interest.
How to Join
There is an application for joining which would accompany your annual dues.
You must meet the criteria as stated above.
