With compassion and integrity at the core of my practice, I work collaboratively with clients to elicit strengths, build skills, and support healing. I utilize traditional and holistic approaches, including EMDR, and create a safe place to enhance well-being.
I am passionate about helping people develop a greater sense of ease, peace, and satisfaction in their lives. For over twenty years I have provided psychotherapy and led workshops for people of all ages. I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in New York state. I work with individuals, couples, marriage partners, and families experiencing emotional stress and relational conflict.
My practice is based upon a systemic and solution-oriented approach. Rather than focusing upon cause and effect, presenting problems are viewed within the context of relationships. Respectful and supportive dialogue among therapist and clients encourage untapped strengths and resources to emerge. This allows for new ways of approaching old repetitive and self-defeating patterns.

Ilyse works with teens and adults suffering from eating disorders, emotional eating, insulin resistance, food allergies, and whole foods diets, using the non-diet approach.
