I see children, adolescents and adults in individual, couple, group or play therapy. I am a trained a client-centered, play, cognitive-behavior, and group therapist. I also completed my training as a modern psychoanalyst. I trained in so many approaches because I believe it is important to find the right modality or combination of modalities for each person, there is no such thing as one method fits all. Together, you and I, will figure out what works best for you.
I have found that group therapy provides a tremendous asset to individual therapy, thus at this point I run a variety of groups: a children's group, a preadolescent group, an adolescent group, a young adult group, adult groups, a rape/sexual abuse victim support group, parent support group, and a supervision group. I truly love my work!

I offer
traditional, brief and mindfulness based work with individuals, couples
and families. For the past decade I have been working with
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), which is a combination of eastern
and western practices. DBT helps people learn how to control their
emotions, instead of having their emotions control them. It is a
clear and comfortable way to address problems with depression, anxiety,
addictive behaviors, impulsivity and relationship problems. I
focus post graduate training in helping survivors, people who struggle
with learning disabilities, Reactive Attachment Disorder and intimacy
issues. I also provide workshops and seminars to organizations,
schools and universities, as well as groups in DBT and Coping Skills.

After 25 years in practice I have decided to call my work deepnourishment because I believe that the way to healing is through nourishing all aspects of ourselves. Learning to nourish yourself emotionally, nutritionally, and spiritually provides the basis for real change and the possibility of living a full and awakened life. I work primarily with adults. The modalities used include nutrition, body centered spiritually oriented therapies, and hands on healing. Your goals and interests determine what method or combination of methods are used.
We meet in an inviting, cozy cottage in West Hurley, not far from the Kingston traffic circle. I no longer have office hours in NYC. There are daily office hours including some evenings. I also provide phone sessions for those who may live too far away to meet in person.
I do not accept insurance reimbursement, but I will be happy to provide receipts.
I welcome phone calls to discuss any questions you may have.
