The Courage to Grieve...The Courage to Grow
The NYSSCSW Mid-Hudson Winter Workshop on January 9, 2010, will be led by Shelley Tatelbaum, M.S., Certified Grief Therapist. Her presentation will include the four tasks of mourning, assessing grief, and healing from grief.
She is a student of Don Miguel Ruiz, author of “The Four Agreements”, whose work she will present.
Ms. Tatelbaum is a former Director of Volunteer and Bereavement Services for Hospice. She uses many modalities in her service to grieving people and has been a grief therapist for twenty-two years. She has studied under the direction of Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn as a Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction facilitator and has taught the program at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. She is currently working on a book about the grieving process and the use of the Four Agreements. She is a Certified Four Agreements teacher. Her life is committed to assisting individuals in their grieving process while lowering their stress and raising their awareness.
Please join us on Saturday, January 9, 2010, at 10:00am for registration, networking and refreshments. Ms. Tatelbaum’s presentation will be from 10:30am-12:30pm, at the Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Conference Room B, Poughkeepsie, N.Y. Attendance at the workshop is at no cost to Society members; $25. for non-members; and $15. for students. All mental health professionals and students are welcome.
