About the Hudson Valley Guild

The Hudson Valley Guild of Mental Health Professionals is an association of practitioners dedicated to:

Promoting and preserving the basic rights of clients.
Promoting the viability of private mental health practice.
Developing an organizational framework to encourage professionals to support and learn from each other.
Informing the public about mental health issues.

To develop referral services for both consumers and Guild members.
To increase public knowledge about the available options for obtaining mental health services.
To evaluate and publicize insurance industry's practices toward mental health providers and consumers.
To establish the Guild as a respected and vocal association of public and private mental health practitioners in the Hudson Valley.
To develop cooperative relationships with insurance companies in order to enhance the interests of both clients and practitioners.
To enable employers to offer sound insurance options to their employees with regard to mental health.
